Gaming Stations

Play some games, live stream, or chat with your friends on our esports gaming stations. Gaming stations feature pre-installed games. Stations are available as first come-first serve in Lab A with the exception of esports matches and practice.

 is a web-based learning management system, or LMS. CSUB faculty and students use Canvas to access and manage online course learning materials and communicate about skill development and learning achievement. Faculty can contact the FTLC for helpful Canvas resources.

During the 2023 spring semester, ITS expanded campus outdoor Wi-Fi by adding over 80 Access Points (APs) across campus. The additional WiFi coverage will provide access to the internet in parking lots on campus and on the red brick road among may other locations across campus.

We are excited to offer all new first-year and new transfer students a Surface Go Laptop or Surface Go Tablet to support their academic success. This will be theirs to use, for free, through the completion of their degree. Direct students  to register for a MS Surface Go.

 provides CSUB students with virtual access to software normally found in the labs at CSUB. Most of our campus applications are present on the VCL allowing the software to be run from any device at any time.
 Whiteboard is now available!  This digital canvas makes it easy to enhance collaboration, save, and share boards with anyone with a Zoom account.  Visit Zoom for interesting  .

Faculty Highlights

Over the next year, ITS will begin moving individuals and departments at CSUB from their existing phone system to the new and exciting Zoom Phone service. This service will allow staff and faculty to make and receive calls from their computer or mobile device while using a campus phone number. In addition to phone calls, individuals also can send and receive SMS text messages using their campus phone number while using Zoom Phone. Additional information about Zoom Phone can be found 
Panopto is the new video streaming and storage system on campus.  Using Panopto, you can create and share on-demand videos securely.  Create dynamic videos using the multi-view functionality, embed quizzes, and monitor student鈥檚 video engagement.  Panopto can be accessed .  Students can access your videos thru Canvas or a shared link. 

Over summer, ITS completed another 3 classroom upgrades to full SmartFlex rooms, bringing our total to 75. 

  • Rooms include touch screen monitors, touch panel interface, tracking camera, ceiling speakers and microphone, automatic projector screen, and standing desks
  • Touchscreen monitors are adjustable and can be angled to use more like a tablet
