CSUBUY marketplace

CSUBUY Marketplace

Effective October 01, 2024, The Marketplace is once again available for ProCard purchases. Amazon e-gift card purchases should be preapproved on a and paid for using a ProCard.

Please note — it is best practice to open the Marketplace in a different browser than CSUBUY P2P. Sometimes, their cookies get cross-contaminated, and the systems get mixed up. A separate browser helps keep the systems separate.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How is Marketplace different from P2P?

Marketplace exists outside of P2P and requires that payment be processed on ProCard as opposed to check.

What is a punchout supplier?

A punchout supplier has an eCommerce site that shopping occurs in, but payment is then processed in the CSU procurement system, either Marketplace or P2P.  Punchout suppliers include Staples, Amazon, Fisher Scientific and Graybar, etc.

Why is the campus switching back to Marketplace from P2P for punchout suppliers?

Payments for punchout suppliers must be processed by vendor submitting invoices and Accounts Payable processing the vouchers and issuing the checks. This has significantly increased the volume of work for Accounts Payable. In addition, Distribution Services is having to receive all these items, causing strain in that department as well. There have been some integration issues between P2P and CFS leading to voucher fails and other errors.  Due to these issues, campus made the decision that low dollar and low risk catalog items that meet criteria for allowable purchases on ProCard should be processed through Marketplace, at least for the foreseeable future.

Can I continue to process transactions for punchout suppliers in P2P?

Yes, the functionality won’t be turned off but the recommendation is to process these transactions in Marketplace due to convenience, ease and expedited processing.

When will this change take effect?

October 1, 2024
